Fascinating/crazy!

Post by Spawnsy » Wed Feb 12, 2020 1:20 am

Recommend a YouTube channel!
I'll get us started with this guy. I was hooked when I watched him build a furnace to blast clay and smelt ore. I mean, what the heck? Without using a single modern tool or item. No knife, spade, bowl, bucket. Nothing not made by him in "the wild". Excellent madness!

Primitive Technology.

Primitive technology is a hobby where you build things in the wild completely from scratch using no modern tools or materials. These are the strict rules: If you want a fire, use a fire stick - An axe, pick up a stone and shape it - A hut, build one from trees, mud, rocks etc. The challenge is seeing how far you can go without utilizing modern technology. I do not live in the wild, but enjoy building shelter, tools, and more, only utilizing natural materials. To find specific videos, visit my playlist tab for building videos focused on pyrotechnology, shelter, weapons, food & agriculture, tools & machines, and weaving & fiber.

FAQ
Q.Where is this?
A.This is in Far North Queensland Australia.
Q.Do you live in the wild?
A.I don't live in the wild but just go into the bush to make these projects. Also I camp out here occasionally.
Q.How did you learn all this?
A.Researching books and internet plus trial and error. I'm not indigenous and have no army training.

Obviously I'm nerding out creating my own videos, as such I keep looking to cool content creators for inspiration. I find this stuff fascinating and am always impressed by this guy:

In terms of channels, these are interesting!

I came across this channel probably though the recommended list. It's TheLockpickingLawyer, quite fascinating short vids on picking different locks and explaining the mechanism of the lock in a clear and concise manner.

When it comes to puzzels and magic/cardestry, Chris Ramsay Is a fun channel to watch. Does a lot of high level puzzle solving
