Some of you would remember me from Back in the days when we had COD4 and COD5 servers.
I fell away from gaming due to other commitments and getting into running in a big way.
As a few of you know I lost my wife to cancer last year.
So in December this year I am flying to Antarctica to take part in the Antarctic Ice Marathon.
I am paying for the entire trip from my own pocket and raising funds for charity.
I am also writing a blog back dated till September 2016 and running till December 2017 where it will end.
I will also be posting about my training along the way and races I enter.

Oh mate, I didn't know that - I'm so sorry for your loss. Good luck with your trip.

Sorry to hear that, cancer is a sod. Your trip will be an awesome one. Had the opportunity to go on a mountaineering trip to Antarctica in 2012 but couldn't do the 2 qualifying climbs as I was deployed on operations! The guys that went had an amazing time.
