Reprieved.....
We did some more testing and we feel like the patch is not ready for this week. We are encountering some unforeseen issues. We're looking to put it out next week and will post updates in this thread.

@jballou I can confirm Arc is correct in saying you can use the cvar "sv_battleye 0" to host a server without BattlEye, and that makes sense from the perspective of coop.

@Pudfark I checked and I am told that Sourcemod should not be affected by BattlEye. And so I would go further to say it's unlikely anything else in the patch will mess with them, since the other changes are minor. Hopefully there are no issues.

Content related Workshop mods should be fine except for player model mods. Those will break but can be fixed by adding two extra animation mdls referenced in their qcs (d and e). This was done to increase performance.
I checked and I am told that Sourcemod should not be affected by BattlEye
I'll believe that when I see it!!!

I've setup latest theatre on server 2, updated sourcemod on both servers to latest and attempted to fix console issue on server 2 (raised a ticket with GD as it's still not working).

I've also been tweaking settings on server 1..... mmmmuuuuhhhhaaahhhhaaaahhh :devil: :dancebanana: :devil:

i would like the suicide bomber taking off please.
it's fucking total bullshit.
you can play as well and as carefully as you like, then out of the blue, you're dead. there's no good reason for it at all. it's not fun. it's not funny. it's just shit.
i got killed 8 times in a row that way through no fault of my own. i'm very very unhappy about it.

I'm not sure that the kind and behaviour of the bots must be a priority.

Imho, there is much more and important to deal with the "general strategy" of the bots. What I mean is that being surprised by one or more enemies spawnig in your ass or under your barrel in corners you are sure your squad had cleaned and owned, is a very poor feature in the game.

I don't really agree with Spawnsy's point of view about suicide bombers as these kamikazes are a true threat in the real theatres where real things are running. But dealing with this when you have a chance to see them come and anticipate is one thing. Seeing them spawn close to you and not having a possibility to find a safe solution is something else.

My 2cents, as I imagine things are not that simple when you open a console and set up code settings

it's easy to get rid of them

bots spawning on your tail has always been a problem with the game but also can be fixed easily by using the better bots plugin

I can't access from work.
Need to edit /cfg/sourcemod/sourcemod.cfg
Cvars are in first few rows, change the suicidebomb_enabled to 0
Once saved either need to wait for next map change or run
sm plugins refresh suicide_bomb
