Meet 2018 Raffle

Hello ladies and gentlemans,

This year, sadly, I will not be able to put my meats on the meet, so, to at least contribute some fun and thrill to this year party, I will send this little boy to Spawnsy, so it can be raffled on the place:

It's a physical-digital album keychain! How is that, physical-digital? Kentone, you are messing with me!

Well boys and girls, the blurred part of the keychain is a QR code that you can scan with your phone using an app like this one: ... roid&hl=en
I am not related to that app in any way, is just that is open-source and it werks!

It's blurred because I don't know if the album will be private or public, sooo...

That kind of barcode points to an special url that later, after the meet, will be redirected to the photo album! :D

Also, if in the future the forum changes, or for any reason the album url changes, I can redirect it again, so until I die (or the service I use for redirects dies), this little keychain will work :)

The idea is to put a little money for a raffle ticket, so the final earns will go to pay the community servers, like the forum or game servers

I have to talk with Spawnsy about the ticket price, and I will update this post

Now, for the curious people, this is how I made this little gift :book: :

I used my 3d printer, it looks like this:

It's nothing fancy, just one of the cheapest on the market, so find the perfect settings for this present was a pain in the ass.

I designed the model using tinkercad, a service that autodesk offers for kinda easy 3d designing:

Then, using the software that converts the 3d model to printer language (Ultimaker Cura), I did set up pauses a determinated layers, so I have been able to change the filaments, and ence the colors on the middle of the print.

This was one of the most critical parts of the print, because until you get the trick, the filaments can get stuck on the printer head, and you have to dissasemble the head to take it out.

Also If you miss the pause for 10 minutes, the motors go to off mode, and in that mode you can move the head with the hand and it will start to print offset regarding the initial layers, that means, print all again! :_D

Finally after a lot of tests, I managed to get it printed, not without some bloopers:

I hope the package reaches Spawnsy's place in time, good luck to everyone!

I have been thinking that a google photos shared album could be set up by Age or Spawnsy (to keep the control over it) and people could share their meet photos on that album. This way a different point of view album can be done :)
Also, later, a post could be made with some selected photos ^^
