Assistance Required

Post by Hutch1603 » Sat Feb 16, 2019 3:53 pm

Hi all,

I am trying to obtain update files for my car's sat nav system. Having tried the appropriate retailer channels, I refuse to pay £145 for a map update. Trying the internet, I have been unable to find anywhere I can download the latest update. Can anyone help!!

My car is a Toyota Avensis, and the sat nav is part of the cars TSN510 system.

Is that £145 for a Toyota dealer to update it for you, or just for them to supply the SD card?

@ Zealous - They are between £30 and £45 on Ebay.

@Stu - That's for the dealer to supply the SD card and appropriate file.

@Warlock - Can't see what you have posted to reply if it is any good.

What’s the number on the SD card? Is it PZ445-SD333-0P? If so, it’s £35 here. I can’t imagine you’re going to have much luck getting it for anything less legally.

Got an android phone? Buy a phone cradle and in-car-charger. Job done. You can check out a journey in advance using google maps on your pc, tell it what time you want to arrive and such, and preload the info to your phone so you don't need your data on, just gps. Or just get in the car and go.
